Tyrande Whisperwind, the High Priestess of Elune and leader of the night elves, is one of Azeroth’s most enduring and influential figures. Tyrande's leadership began during the War of the Ancients, when the Burning Legion first attempted to invade Azeroth. Together with Malfurion Stormrage and Illidan Stormrage, she fought to protect their people and drive back the Legion. While she chose Malfurion as her partner, Illidan’s unrequited love for her and subsequent descent into darkness created lasting tension between the brothers. Tyrande’s resolve to protect her people has been unwavering, even when faced with personal challenges and sacrifices.

This transformation gave her incredible strength but also came at great personal cost, pushing her to the brink of losing herself in her desire for revenge.
